About the teacher
Teaching philosophy
Anyone, even those with limited time, can learn to play the piano well with excellent instruction and a willingness to practice. Knowing how to practice is essential to making the most of one's time and achieving the best possible results.
My goal is to help every student reach their fullest potential, regardless of level. That means developing good technique and learning to play with musical expression. The discipline of studying piano also builds important lifelong skills.
As a classically trained musician, I also enjoy playing and teaching popular music, including helping students create their own arrangements.
I was fortunate to study with remarkable musicians of the 20th century. I try to share that knowledge with every student, including beginners, along with the joy that comes from learning to play the piano.
